The welcome address was rendered by the City Council Assistant Secretary Pon Ganesh. The City Council Secretary M. Mayil Ganesan and the District Minority Wing Secretary Valparai V. Hameed said, "All of us should work together for the party without any difference of opinion. A stone that is not chiseled will not become a statue and if we work without unity we can never taste success. Hence we must listen to the advice of the District Secretary and MLA Kasthuri Vasu and work for the party and in the upcoming assembly elections. we must obtain more votes than what we received in the previous assembly elections and work hard to win in 2021 to continue 'Amma's' rule in the state."
Later each person was presented with a shawl and congratulated. The district, city and labour union administrators and functionaries who attended the event were all presented with shawls, congratulated and thanked.
