Chennai: The Madras Union of Journalists requested for police action on habitual offender Kishore K Swamy.

In a notice, the Madras Union of Journalists requested for police action against Kishore K Swamy. The notice read, "Kishore K Swamyis adept in making up tall tales about his contacts with the Central and State government. Calling himself a 'political analyst' he writes on Twitter and FaceBook. It is common for him to use derogatory words to insult female journalists in his social media posts.

Complaints have been filed with the District police department previously too. However, cases were not filed immediately and the police did not take prompt action. Hence some people had to take the issue to the High Court in order to have an FIR to be lodged."

The notice further read, "Based on the complaints filed by several other journalists, Kishore K Swamy has been arrested and has been granted bail. For a short period of time he abstained from making remarks, but now he has begun making derogatory posts about female journalists again.

The District police departmentmust file cases against him, based on the complaints provided by the female journalists and immediate action must be taken."
