Chennai: Chennai police have filed a case on Kishore K Swamy based on a complaint filed by a woman journalist.
Tweeting regarding this, The Tamilnadu Women Journalists Forum posted, "The Chennai police has filed a case on habitual offender Kishore K Swamy in a complaint given by a woman journalist. He is a notorious man who spreads rumours and baseless allegations about both men and women journalists. He is now absconding."
The tweet tagged the CM of TN and the Network of Women in Media.
Readers may recall that Kishore K Swamy, who is an avid AIADMK and BJP supporter on social media, and claims he is a “political analyst,” was arrested in July last year after many women journalists reported harassment by him, including use of crass words and religious slurs.
Cyber Cell filed an FIR against him under sections 354D (stalking), 509 (Word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) of the IPC and section 4 (Harassment of Women) of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Women Harassment Act, 1998.
