Tirupur: With 306 active COVID-19 cases in the district of Tirupur, 18 new cases have been reported today. The total has leaped to 757. Most of the positive cases are from the outskirts of Tirupur city including Kangeyam, Palladam, Pachapalayam, Udumalpet and others.
Tirupur: With 306 active COVID-19 cases in the district of Tirupur, 18 new cases have been reported today. The total has leaped to 757. Most of the positive cases are from the outskirts of Tirupur city including Kangeyam, Palladam, Pachapalayam, Udumalpet and others.
Though three deaths were reported today, the recovery rate in Tirupur district has been constantly on an upward trend, as 56 patients were discharged, today.
As per the data from the District Administration, 2912 people are under home quarantine. And, 946 people were subjected to PCR testing, today.
Death details:
1. A 52-year-old male from Kumaran Nagar already on treatment for Chronic Kidney Disease, tested positive for Covid and passed away on July 27 in CMCH
2. A 47-year-old female from Anupparpalayam already on treatment - post cardiac arrest, chronic kidney disease tested positive for Covid and passed away on July 27 at a private hospital in Coimbatore.
3. A 65-year-old male from Golden Nagar Tirupur. Admitted with fever and breathlessness and tested positive for Covid passed away at Tirupur GH on July 27.
