In 1982, when the municipality requested the school management to vacate the school building, it refused to do so and approached the court.
While the matter was subjudice, an appeal by the Corporation led to a judgement in its favour. Following this, Corporation officials led by Tirupur Corporation Assistant Commissioners Subramanian, Thangavel Raj and Assistant Engineer Govinda Prabhakar vacated the school building this morning. Thus, after 38 years, the Corporation property worth Rs. 3 crore has been recovered.
Revenue Inspector Saravanakumar and VAO Jyoti were also present. More than 30 policemen, led by Tirupur North Police Inspector Ganesan, provided security.
