Thousands of volunteers of Coimbatore Chapter joined the online initiative of Art of Living by chanting Kanda Sashti Kavasam led by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, on Sunday.
Earlier, the chant was initiated by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar on November 15, 2019 at Vadapalani temple which was graced by 30 lakhs devotees. Subsequent to this, his disciples have been organising events of chanting Kavasam in temples, schools and public places all over Tamil Nadu.
On the auspicious day of Sashti during this Aadi month, the chant was initiated from Bangalore Ashram in the presence of Sri Sri Ravi Shankar.
In his message, he asserted that people should glorify chanting Kandha Sashti Kavasam as it will remove fear amid people and embrace them with mental stability.
He opined that the chant is a powerful armour that safeguards every system and organ of human body, especially for the wellbeing of the people during the present health crisis.
According to him, Lord Murugan represents power of wisdom and Godesses Valli and Devanai represent the power of desire and action.
Devotees across the districts of Tamil Nadu, Malaysia, Singapore and other countries took part in the event.
