Coimbatore: Coimbatore rural police arrested a 48-year-old man on Saturday for uploading child pornography on his Facebook page. The arrested person has been identified as CT Sunil Kumar, a native of Kerala. He lives at Ambal Nagar in Malumichampatti with his wife and two sons. He works at a canteen in Coimbatore International Airport.

Chettipalayam police said he had uploaded the video on his facebook page on May 2, 2020. He was booked under section 15 (i) of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) act and section 67 A and 67 B of Information Technology act.
The National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) furnished the IP address to the Coimbatore police following which the police have confirmed that a child pornography video was uploaded from his mobile on May 2 at 11.50 pm.
The police arrested him on Saturday evening and remanded him to judicial custody. An inquest is on.
