A consultative meeting about Smart city projects being undertaken in Tirupur was led by the Minister for Animal Husbandry Udumalai Radhakrishnan at the District Collectorate.
Speaking to the media after the meeting, the Minister said, "Officials have been advised to complete the Smart City projects on time and put them to public use soon. All arrangements have been made for the COVID-19 test results to be given out in 24 hours at the Government Headquarters hospital, Tirupur. Each day 500 to 1,000 samples are being tested. The spread of COVID-19 infection has been increasing everyday and many cases that have been reported are people from outside the district. They are monitored closely
He added, "Arrangements are made on behalf of the Department of Animal husbandry to provide 3,12,000 people with goat, poultry and milch cows. Further discussions are being held with all the District Collectors regarding the opening of cattle markets all over TN."

District Collector Vijaya Karthikeyan, MLAs and many others took part in the meeting.
