Minister SP Velumani inaugurates various projects in the South zone of Coimbatore Corporation

Coimbatore: Minister for Municipal administration SP Velumani inaugurated various projects and laid the foundation for various new projects within the Coimbatore Corporation yesterday.

He inaugurated tower lights with street lights that have been installed at Thottarayan Koil Street, Thittasalai in ward 91 of the South zone. This has been established at a cost of ₹63.90 lakhs from the Coimbatore Corporation's general fund for the use of the public. He also laid the foundation for laying concrete flooring for the cross streets of Thottarayan Kovil Street to be completed at a cost of ₹6.90 lakhs.



He then laid the foundation for an indoor stadium to be built at a cost of ₹64.90 lakhs from the Corporation general fund, at the Kalki Garden area in Ward 91 of the South zone.



The Minister also inaugurated the street lights with tall tower lights near the CBM College in Ward no. 90 of the South Zone for the use of public. The project was undertaken at a cost of ₹63.90 lakhs from the Corporation general fund.

Corporation Commissioner J. Shravan Kumar, Corporation Deputy Commissioner S. Madhuranthagi and other officials took part in the event.
