The protest was held before the BSNL office near the Coimbatore district collector's office. They chanted slogans condemning the repeal of free electricity for farmers, urging the withdrawal of the Electricity Act 2020, to amend the Essential Commodities Act and extending the 100-day program.

The protest was led by CITU District Secretary S. Krishnamurthy and was attended by a large gathering of people.
