The protest that was held in front of the Coimbatore CPM District Council Office was led by Coimbatore MP P.R. Natarajan. CPI District Treasurer and former MLA K. Arumugam, CPM District Executive Committee members N. Jeyabalan, K. Ajaykumar, East City Secretary N. Zahir and U.K. Sivagnanam took part in the protest and raised slogans.
Similarly, the District Council Office of the CPI in front of the Jeeva Illam also witnessed protests led by the CPI District Secretary V.S. Sundaram. CPM District Secretary V. Ramamoorthy, VCK City District Secretary Jo. Ilakkiyan and Sivagami took part in the protests and raised slogans.
Protests were also held at more than 100 centers in Coimbatore District. The CIM State Council members C. Padmanabhan, A. Radhika and CPI leaders took part in the protests. Cadres of their allies such as DMK, VCK and DK also attended the protests.
