Coimbatore: Podanur railway workshop has been closed following an employee testing positive for COVID-19.

Coimbatore:Podanur railway workshop has been closed following an employee testing positive for COVID-19.

A 42-year-old employee from Sri Ram Nagar working at the Coimbatore Podanur railway workshop tested positive for Coronavirus. The management has announced that the workshop will be working today and tomorrow.

The employee working in surveillance and telecommunications had been suffering from flu-like symptoms for the past few days. Following this, he was treated at a private hospital and underwent a coronavirus test. Upon testing positive, he wastransferred to Coimbatore ESI hospital.

Meanwhile, all the members of his family and 15 colleagues of him are being subjected to PCR tests.
