Kathiravan (34) hails from 24 Veerapandi area near Chinna Thadagam, Coimbatore. He is working as a manager in a company near Anaikatti. He and his wife, children and parents were all sleeping in their house as usual last Monday.
The robbers broke into the house and stole 17 sovereigns of gold jewelry and ₹55,000 in cash from the wardrobe. Thadagam police have registered a case and are investigating the incident following a complaint lodged yesterday.
The public have also demanded that the number of robberies in the area has increased in the last few days and that stern action be taken against the miscreants involved in these crimes.
