Tirupur: Navagraha yagam for 120 Hours spanning 5 Days is being conducted at the Vettaiyan Sivaperuman Temple in Tirupur in which prayers are undertaken to rid the world of COVID-19.
Vettaiyan Sivaperuman Temple is located in Sathasivam in the Poyampalayam area under the Tirupur Corporation.
The temple which is in Sathasivam Nagar at Boyampalayam has Lord Siva in the form of a hunter.
Even as COVID-19 infections maintain an upward trend in the district in particular and the world in general, a continuous maha yaga puja has begun at the temple to pray for a solution to the pandemic problem.

Sri Siva Siva Mantra Swamigal is leading the yaga in which sivacharyas recite vedic mantras and pujas are performed to the navagrahas including the Surya Bhagavan.

It is noteworthy that 108 lingas have been kept in the puja.
