Employees working at several places, including the Collectorate and the Civil Supplies Office, have contracted the infections. Following this, the District Collector has warned that those who venture out without wearing face masks will be imprisoned for six months.
The statement read, "Coronavirus is on the rise due functions that were held without permission and where social distancing was not observed. No one should violate the curfew rules. No matter who it is, if one is seen without a face mask, not observing social distancing or spitting in public places is liable to imprisonment for six months and/or a fine of Rs. 1000 under the Infectious Diseases Act 1897."
