A 30-year-old police constable working at the Coimbatore Singanallur police station has been admitted at a private hospital after testing positive for COVID-19.
Also three special team cops from Thondamuthur police station have been admitted at the ESI hospital after contracting the infection.
While the Thondamuthur police station has been fumigated and closed, it is still being contemplated whether to close the Singanallur police station or not.
Meanwhile, Somanur Government Primary Health Centre has been closed after two employees there tested positive for COVID.
