Coimbatore: Siva Ganesh, proprietor of Sri Devi Textiles, met with the press today and announced that the showroom will be closed from today in the interest of the public and will be reopened only after COVID-19 comes under control.
He added that the government is taking various measures to control the impact of the deadly virus and in order to express solidarity with the government and all the Corona warriors, Sridevi Textiles will down its shutters from today.
He said it is their arbitrary decision and has nothing to do with any association. He added his company employs 600 people and all of them will be paid the same as they were paid during the last curfew.
It is noteworthy that Sri Devi Textiles donated Rs 1 crore to the Chief Minister's COVID-19 prevention relief fund two months ago.
