Two COVID-19 patients of advanced age succumb in Coimbatore today
Coimbatore: Coimbatore: Failing to respond to treatment, two COVID-19 patients of advanced age succumbed to the dreaded virus at Coimbatore ESI today.
A 74-year-old lady from Ramanathapuram in Coimbatore contracted COVID-19 infection and was admitted at Coimbatore ESI Hospital on July 10. Not responding to treatment, she passed away today.
Her body was handed over for cremation in the presence of Health Department officials.
Another lady from Vincent Hall Road in the Town Hall Area who was undergoing treatment at Coimbatore ESI passed away early this morning.
Her body was handed over to volunteers from Tamil Nadu Muslim Munnetra Kazhagam, who accorded a burial to her with all the COVID restrictions in place.
With this the total number of deaths reported in the state records is 20.
