Various measures are being undertaken to control the spread of COVID-19 in the district. As part of these measures, medical camps have been set up at all the 100 wards in the five zones of the Corporation and tests are being carried out.
As a part of the many camps that are being conducted everyday, camps will be held at 10 AM on July 19, 2020 at the following places.
EAST ZONE: Karattumedu, Krishna Nagar, JV Nagar, Nehru Nagar West, Maharaja Nagar, Gurusamy Nagar, Jagannathan Colony, ESI Periyar Nagar, Chakkara Chettiar Veedhi, SHS Colony, Narayanasamy Layout, Sindhu Nagar, Aaandalamman Layout, Chellandiamman Kovil Veedhi, Housing Unit - D Wing, Anna Nagar - Sowripalayam, Gandhi Nagar, Maruthur, Ganesapuram, and Nanjundapuram.

People with cough and cold, senior citizens above the age of 55 years, and those with heart/lung/kidney ailments and diabetes will be tested with pulse oximeters and thermal scanners.
Those people with symptoms can participate in the medical camp and benefit, informed the Corporation Commissioner J. Shravan Kumar. The public are advised to participate in the camps without fail and protect themselves from the spread of COVID.
