Coimbatore: Coimbatore Police have seized a vehicle involved in fraudulently transporting passengers from Kerala to Tamil Nadu. The driver of the vehicle has been arrested.
Coimbatore: Coimbatore Police have seized a vehicle involved in fraudulently transporting passengers from Kerala to Tamil Nadu. The driver of the vehicle has been arrested.
According to the information provided by the Madukkarai police inspector, the Ettimadai police conducted a vehicle inspection at Kandegoundan Chavadi post. At the time, they stopped the vehicle no KL-07-CS 9840 with the name Holiday Brothers vehicle, which was on the way to Coimbatore from Kochi, Kerala.
Holiday Brothers, a travel company based in Kochi, Kerala, has been posting on Facebook and social networking sites claiming they can transport passengers from from Kochi to Visakhapatnam. The company also had E-passes to that effect, but investigations revealed that the vehicle had obtained permit for travelling from Kochi to Visakhapatnam, but instead intended to load passengers from Palakkad, Coimbatore, Salem and Tirupur to drop them in Chennai and other areas.

Mohammad Shabad, 30, the driver of the bus has been arrested. Police have registered a case and are investigating.
