Nizam, a vegetable market worker, hails from Anbu Naga and is married to Ishana Parveen. Last night, Ishana was looking at the goods that a man in the guise of a burqa seller was carrying.
The man who was speaking to Ishana Parveen suddenly tried to snatch the gold chain from her neck. Ishana grabbed the chain and screamed for help. Following this, the unidentified person attacked Ishana, entered her home and escaped through the back door.
A severely injured Ishana has been admitted at Coimbatore Government Hospital for treatment. Ukkadam police have registered a case and are investigating the incident.
