Man near Coimbatore killed by elephant

Coimbatore: At Narasipuram, a village located in the foothills of the Western Ghats in Coimbatore, a shepherd taking his cattle to pastures yesterday morning came across male corpse lying on the the way to Javkadu Forests and alerted Boluvampatti Forest Department personnels.

Following this, they arrived at the scene and retrieved the body of a 40-year-old man with broken bones and sent his body for an autopsy.

It was revealed that the person died as a result of an elephant attack. Alandurai police have registered a case and are investigating the death.
