This being the case, Gudalur forest officials received information about a jumbo that was stuck in mud slurry at a farm in Vedanvayal near Gudalur. The animal passed away before they reached the area.
The forest personnel informed various angles such as could the elephant have trapped itself in the mud when searching for food or could it have been driven into the slurry by other animals.
