Kongu Makkal Munnani lodges complaint with Coimbatore DSP seeking action against miscreants who try to create caste clashes
Coimbatore: Cadres from the Kongu Makkal Munnani lodged a complaint with the Coimbatore District Superintendent of Police seeking action against those who put up inflammatory posters in Coimbatore that could create caste clashes.
Tamil Nadu BJP President Murugan and Congress President Alagiri opined that the caste name 'Vellalar' could be used for other communities too. Condemning this, the Kongu Makkal Munnani put up posters at various places in Coimbatore. In condemnation of this, a few unidentified persons stuck posters right on top of the ones by the Kongu Makkal Munnani.
Under the circumstances, Cadres from the Kongu Makkal Munnani lodged a complaint with the Coimbatore District Superintendent of Police seeking action against the unidentified persons who put up inflammatory posters that could create caste clashes.
The complaint stated that such acts could disrupt law and order in Tamil Nadu and such wrongdoers should be arrested immediately.
