There are more than a hundred tourist vehicles operating in Valparai, Coimbatore district. Public transportation has been banned for the past four months due to the spread of corona infection.
This has affected the families of more than a hundred motorists who depend on the tourist vehicle industry for their livelihood.
Demonstrators in front of the Pollachi Regional Transport Office branch in Valparai, led by Valparai Tourist Motorists Association President Santosh, Secretary SRS Suresh and Treasurer Ravi Murugan, demanded the cancellation of petrol and diesel price hikes, insurance premiums and road tax hikes and providing relief.
More than 50 motorists took part in the demonstration
