Auto Consultant arrested under Goondas act in Coimbatore
Coimbatore: A person has been arrested under the Goondas Act for giving loans by bidding on vehicles already borrowed near Coimbatore.
Abu DahirfromSelvapuram area of Coimbatore. He sells old two and four-wheelers. A case was registered against him on the complaint lodged by Sasikumar from Ponnaiyarajapuram area on22nd June.
Subsequently, documents of more than a hundred two and four-wheelers were seized during a police search of his godown and office. Police also confiscated 19 bikes and 10 cars from his godown. The investigation has revealed that the owners of the vehicle in the name of bidding have taken loans and paid a certain amount to the vehicles which have not been repaid, causing losses to the private financial institutions.
It was also revealed that he had sold bidding vehicles to various persons. Under these circumstances, the Goondas Act was filed against Abu Dahir on the orders of theCommissioner of Police and he was remanded in the Coimbatore Central Jail.
