In an earlier announcement of the party's new office bearers of the state unit, Vanathi Srinivasan from Coimbatore who was earlier the General Secretary was announced the Vice President of TN BJP.
In the new announcement today of office bearers of the party's women's wing, eight women party cadres from Karur, Nilgiris, Krishnagiri, Vellore, Chennai and other places were appointed as Deputy Vice Presidents.
Similarly, three women party cadres have been announced as the State General Secretary. One among them is Meenakshi Aravind from Coimbatore.
Smashing gender stereotypes, she has spearheaded several adventurous expeditions across the globe. A well-known public figure from the city, she has been very vocal on women rights and safety.
Through her expeditions, Meenakshi has been instrumental in sensitising people from various parts of the globe on women literacy, prevention and early screening of cervical cancer.
"Will focus on women empowerment and increasing public awareness of all forms of violence against children and women", said Meenakshi Arvind.
She also apprised of working hard to create a foothold for BJP party in Tamil Nadu by clarifying the misconceptions of the party ideologies, amid the people.
