Tirupur: An indefinite strike has been announced by Swiggy delivery executives in Tirupur due to pay cuts. A petition was filed at the District Collector's Office too.
More than 150 Swiggy, Tirupur delivery executivesare said to have had pay cuts 2 days back. When the affected employees appealed to the company, they promised to fix the problem within a couple of days.
As there was no action, the Swiggy employees laid siege to the District Collector office in protest and said that they are able to earn only Rs. 340 per day as opposed to Rs. 600 per day in the last month.
They demanded that their wages should remain unchanged. They also announced that they will be on an indefinite strike until the issue is addressed.
