Fact Check: Coimbatore is not going into 4 day lockdown
Coimbatore: From morning, whatsapp groups are awash with a screenshot allegedly from Polimer News Channel that Chennai, Coimbatore and Madurai are going to have a lockdown for 4 days from Sunday to Wednesday.
We have spoken with sources in Polimer News Channel and have confirmed that it is fake imagery aimed at misleading the public towards a lockdown. The channel has requested the public to not share this fake screenshot and spread unnecessary panic among the public.
This was easy to confirm for any user though. This news has not been published in Polimer TV website or fb page. We request the public to only share media links of news and not screenshots or group text messages.
