Mysterious disappearance of Lord Vinayaka idol in Coimbatore, Hindu Munnani lodges complaint
Coimbatore: Hindu Munnani cadres lodged a complaint at the Sai Baba Colony Police Station following the mysterious disappearance of a Lord Vinayaka idol in Sai Baba Colony, Coimbatore.
The 50-year-old Jeeva Nagar Arasamara Vinayagar Kovil at Sai Baba Colony has a case pending already in connection with the idol of Lord Ganesha at the sanctum here.
Under the circumstances, the priest in charge entered the temple premises this morning to perform the usual daily puja and was shocked to see the statue of deity missing.

Following this the priest enlisted the support of a few cadres of the Hindu Munnani and proceeded to lodge a complaint at the Sai Baba Colony Police Station. It has been requested that police should studiously probe the mysterious disappearance of the idol and retrieve it for them.
