Coimbatore: The frontline warriors put themselves at risk whenever they come out for duty and off late quite a few of them have been tested positive for the novel coronavirus. Following the pattern, today 3 RAF personnel have been tested positive for COVID-19.
Coimbatore: The frontline warriors put themselves at risk whenever they come out for duty and off late quite a few of them have been tested positive for the novel coronavirus. Following the pattern, today 3 RAF personnel have been tested positive for COVID-19.
The RAF personnel were residing in their housing quarters in Vellalore. Over 1500 personnel live in the quarters. During natural disasters and emergencies, the RAF personnel swing into action. 3 personnel from this area have now tested positive and it’s said that they have travel history to Virudhunagar, Maharashtra and Vellore.
Upon returning from their deputations they were tested for COVID-19 on July 9, 2020 and with three of the tests turning positive, the personnel have been admitted in the ESI for treatment. Their contact tracing is being conducted actively by the health department.
