Bullet found at graveyard at Semmedu near Coimbatore, police investigate

Nandan from the Alandurai passed away in 2013 and is buried at the Gandhi Colony graveyard in Semmedu near Alandurai. It is customary for his relatives and friends to visit his grave on his death anniversary in order to pay homage to him. While visiting the grave this year, they found a bullet while cleaning the grave and its surroundings, which was handed over to the police.

The police who inspected the bullet stated that the bullet is a 68mm one used for a 303 rifle and could have been used in 1942. They handed it over to the Perur Tahsildar. The Tahsildar informed that the bullet might be sent for research to ascertain its age.
