It is said that in a videoposted in the YouTube channel "Karuppar Koottam", he has criticised the lyrics of the devotional song "Kanda Sashti Kavasam" dedicated to the Hindu God Murugan.
A petition has been filed at the Tirupur Police Commissioner's Office on behalf of the Hindu Makkal Katchi demanding the YouTube channel operating under the name "Karuppar Kootam" be banned and the uploader of the video be arrested.
