It is said that in a YouTube video, he has used the phrase "Karuppar Koottam" to criticise the lyrics of the devotional song "Kanda Sashti Kavasam" dedicated to the Hindu God Murugan.
The members of the Hindu outfits said pro-Dravidian speakers continue to slander their faith in God and Hindus would not keep tolerating this if it is not stopped immediately.
Hindu organizations including the BJP, the Hindu Munnetra Kazhagam and the Vivekananda Peravai petitioned the District Collector to initiate immediate action against the alleged slanderer.
