Coimbatore: Coimbatore District Valparai Trade Union Joint Committee meeting was held with Valparai Ameedhu chairing the meet in the presence of LPF Soundarapandian.
Coimbatore: Coimbatore District Valparai Trade Union Joint Committee meeting was held with Valparai Ameedhu chairing the meet in the presence of LPF Soundarapandian.
The resolutions passed in the meeting included:
1. The tea plantations workers should be sent home by 12 pm on Saturday to enable them to purchase vegetables and essentials for the next day as it is a complete lockdown on Sunday.
2, As there are practical difficulties in sending workers who fall sick to hospitals in Pollachi or Coimbatore, the estate owners should upgrade their hospitals.
3, Thick bushes near residential areas should be removed.
4. The District Collector should carry out regular inspections at the Attakatti checkpoint.
They requested the Tamil Nadu Plantation Owners 'Association and the Anaimalai Plantation Owners' Association that the unions be consulted and solutions be found.
The meeting was attended by leaders Valparai Ameedhu, LPF Soundarapandian INTUC Karuppaiya, AITUC Mohan , Viduthalai Siruthaigal Veeramani, and other union leaders and executives.
