New COVID cases are steadily on the rise in Tirupur district. The overall tally in Tirupur stands at 294.

Under the circumstances, the district observes the state-mandated full curfew today.



All shops in Tirupur district are closed. The main roads and intersections of the city are devoid of vehicle movement. More than thousand cops have been deployed to ensure that the curfew is observed in a proper manner.



Meanwhile, fines are imposed on motorists who violate the curfew and their vehicles are confiscated.
