In a major reshuffle last week, the Tamil Nadu government transferred 59 IPS officers across Tamil Nadu. Sujith Kumar, who was the SP of Coimbatore District transferred to the Madurai District.
Subsequently, the Tamil Nadu government appointed Arularasu as the SP of Coimbatore District. He assumed charge today. Officials welcomed him with a bouquet and congratulated him on his appointment.
Speaking to reporters, he said, "The Coimbatore district is a peaceful district. I will take action to uphold law and order in the city.
