CII conducts fifth edition of 'Valve Technology Conclave'
Coimbatore: Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) organised its 5th edition of Valve Technology Conclave yesterday and today on a virtual platform with the theme 'Strengthening the Global Supply Chain'

L&T Valves Limited, Global Head (operations), D. Basavarajappa delivered and address in the conclave and said that industries should adopt new technologies and strengthen their supply chain. He added that the valve industries depend on their suppliers and thereby have to safeguard their suppliers.
Larsen and Toubro-Valves(USA), Chief Executive, Mahesh Kumar Joshi threw light on the functionalities of the supply chain before and during the pandemic. He also highlighted the current scenario in the global valve market.
President of 'APICS' - Association for Supply Management, Houston David Cabello addressed the gathering and said,"Valve Industry needs to adapt to the new reality and new normal quickly, identify the weakest points in the supply chain, accelerate product development, and increase speed to the market.
Supplier performance group manager of Cameron Manufacturing India - Robert Brunett, National director of Rotork Controls(India) Private Limited - Senthil Ramanathan and senior industry experts across the world delivered addresses during the event. More than 250 participants companies manufacturing valves, actuators, etc., were in attendance.
Earlier, 'CII' Coimbatore Zone chairman J. Ganesh Kumar welcomed the gathering.
Vice chairman Arjun Prakash delivered the concluding remarks.
