A 15-foot King Cobra that was spotted in agricultural land near Thondamuthur was captured by the Forest Department.
Coimbatore: A 15-foot King Cobra that was spotted in agricultural land near Thondamuthur was captured by the Forest Department.
The Forest Department received information about King Cobra that was spotted in agricultural lands bordering forests at Narasipuram near Thondamuthur. Following this the forest department fetched a snake catcher and captured the 15-foot King Cobra. After conducting an examination, the snake was freed in the dense Siruvani forests.

The Forest Department personnel said, "The snake that was caught today has already been captured twice before and let into the forest. People are advised to inform the forest department if they spot snakes in residential areas or in agricultural fields so that we can ensure that both the snakes and humans are protected from harm."
