A separate ward has been instituted at the Coimbatore GH for the treatment of COVID-19 patients. The District Collector K. Rajamani inaugurated the facility and toured it.
He held consultation with the medical team at the GH to understand the care that is being offered for viral diseases. He also spoke to them about their various needs.
He instructed, "An exclusive entrance should be there for COVID-19 patients and for no reason should be the entrance opened to others, it should be manned by security personnels all the time. The entire area should be under tight control. The District Administration will provide whatever is needed."
