Mathu (41) hails from Chennimalai in Erode district and has been living with his wife and 6-year-old daughter in Tirupur MS Nagar area for the past few years. He is employed as a supervisor in a hosiery company. After befriending a 24-year-old woman at his workplace, he convinced her that he was in love with her. The gullible woman fell for his words.
He then shot several nude pictures and videos of the girl. He later started sexually abusing her citing that he would leak the sensitive pictures and videos if she does not comply to having sex with him.
With the COVID lockdown coming into effect, Mathu left for Chennimalai with his family. Even then he kept harassing her over the phone. Meanwhile, the girl got engaged and her family started making arrangements for her wedding. An enraged Madhu sent the girl's pictures and videos to the man she got engaged to. He also uploaded them on social media.
The heartbroken woman bravely lodged a complaint at the Tirupur North Women's Police Station. Police arrested Madhu and are conducting an investigation. They have also seized the sensitive photos and videos.
