13 more employees of Malabar Gold & Diamonds jewellery in Coimbatore test positive for COVID-19
Coimbatore: After 2 employees of Malabar Gold & Diamonds jewellery in Coimbatore tested positive for coronavirus yesterday, the shop has contributed 13 more positives to Coimbatore COVID tally today.
The shop, that has more than 50 persons in its employ, was asked to down its shutters yesterday and all the valuables in the shop were transferred to a safe place.
Meanwhile 42 Malabar Gold & Diamonds employees who stay at a mansion at Gandhipuram 3rd Street were subjected to PCR tests out of which 13 turned positive. They have since been hospitalized for treatment. In total, 15 from the shop have tested positive.
Also 2 employees of Aditya Automobiles on Cross-Cut road tested positive for the dreaded virus, several shops in the area have beenordered to be closed for the next ten days.
