A 400-bed COVID-19 treatment centre at the CODISSIA complex started its operations on July 4. More than 200 asymptomatic COVID-19 patients are being treated at the venue.
While the CODISSIA centre is well equipped for treating the asymptomatic COVID-19 patients, the photo of the dog carrying possible discarded PPE kit has raised the eyebrows of many.
Even as a slew of allegations to this effect are on the rounds, the coincidental pictures of a dog dragging a PPE kit at the CODISSIA Complex have gone viral on social media.
With the highly contagious virus spreading like wildfire, such incidents show that disposal of used PPE kits is a serious issue. Earlier too, a used PPE kit was found near Avinashi Road.
Social activists and public have insisted that the District Administration should ensure safe disposal of used PPE kits .
