Mild drizzle to steady rains were experienced in various places in the district. Continuous rains that lasted all through the night caused water logging in some streets.
The rainfall experienced at various places include 19 mm at Annur, 2.8mm at Airport, 4mm at Mettupalayam, 72mm at Cinchona, 82mm at Chinna Kallar, 44mm at Valparai PAP, 42mm at Valparai, 34mm at Sholayar, 11.6mm at Aliyar, 3mm at Sulur, 14.4mm at Pollachi, 17mm at P.N. Palyam and 8mm at TNAU. A total of 353.80mm rainfall was experienced today at Coimbatore.
An average rainfall of 25.37mm was registered.
