While the Corporation Commissioner J. Shravan Kumar inspected Ward no. 95, he witnessed houses illegally pumping drinking water from the distribution pipeline with the help of electric motors.
The Commissioner immediately ordered the officials concerned to confiscate the electric motors, disconnect the drinking water connection of the law breakers and lodge a complaint against them with the police.
He also ordered the Corporation engineers to take severe action against the people who are involved in such misdemeanours.
