Coimbatore: MLA Amman Arjunan returned home after recovering from COVID.
Amman Arjunan, the AIADMK legislator from Coimbatore South constituency tested COVID positive on July 5 and was admitted at the ESI Hospital for treatment. He returned home today post treatment and recovery.
Earlier, Amman Arjunan's daughter and her family had been to Madurai. Upon their return, 9 persons at the house underwent medical examination on June 29 and the MLA's 32-year-old daughter, 39-year-old son-in-law and 11-year-old granddaughter tested positive.
The trio were subsequently admitted at the ESI Hospital for treatment. MLA Amman Arjunan and others were isolated and monitored. Meanwhile, the MLA tested positive on July 5 and was admitted for treatment.
While his granddaughter was discharged yesterday, the MLA, his daughter and son-in-law returned home today.
The MLA congratulated the medical team at the ESI Hospital for providing effective treatment for COVID-19.
