Following the 26 fresh cases yesterday, the areas where persons tested positive for COVID have been declared as containment zones.
Today, an 81-year-old man from the Lakshmi Nagar area turned positive and has been taken to Coimbatore ESI for treatment. Following this, the entire area is being disinfected and fumigated by the Health department.
