Octogenarian succumbs to COVID-19 at Coimbatore ESI Hospital

Coimbatore: An 80-year-old man admitted at the Coimbatore ESI Hospital and undergoing treatment for COVID-19 passed away today.


Coimbatore: An 80-year-old man admitted at the Coimbatore ESI Hospital and undergoing treatment for COVID-19 passed away today.

An octogenarian from Pallapatti, Karur was admitted at the PSG Hospital after testing positive for COVID-19. After receiving treatment for 18 days at the hospital, he was transferred to Coimbatore ESI Hospital today.

However, an hour after he was admitted at the ESI, the man succumbed to the dreaded virus. With this, the tally of COVID fatalities at the ESI rose to six.
