The programme started with lighting the lamp by Acharya V. Vasudevan, J. Cedric Manuel, Dr. Kesavan and Dr. Deleep, Chief Medical Officers at Arya Vaidya Chikitsalayam and Dr. Rishi, Research Associate, AVP Research Foundation. Welcome address was delivered by Dr. Sethukrishna, Joint Director, AVP Research Foundation.
The Immunity Kit was handed over to J. Cedric Manuel by Krishnadas Varier, Director, Marketing, The Arya Vaidya Pharmacy (Coimbatore) Ltd.
AyurShield is a collaborative effort of all entities in the Ayurveda industry, namely clinicians, manufacturers and hospitals to support and reach out to a larger number of people. Ayurveda private sector under the aegis of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) with leadership of Ayurveda Medical Association of India, Ayurvedic Medicine Manufacturers Association of India, and Ayurveda Hospital Management Association, has joined hands to research and run Immunity Clinics under the name AyurShield.
Special Ayurveda Immunity kits for police personnels were distributed by Acharya Vasudevan, Krishnadas Varier and J. Cedric Manuel during the event.
In his address, J. Cedric Manuel thanked Dr. P.R. Krishnakumar, Managing Director AVP Group of Institutions and the organisation for felicitating the police department frontline workers in this scenario by recognising their services and honouring them. He also pledged to continue the service.
