Covid-19: Coimbatore Corporation schedules medical camps across all 100 wards tomorrow

Coimbatore Corporation schedules medical camps to check for COVID symptoms at primary health centers on July 9


Coimbatore: Medical camps are scheduled to be held by the Primary health centers at various places in all the five zones of the Coimbatore Corporation.

Under the guidance of the Minister for Municipal Administration S.P. Velumani, various measures are being undertaken to control the spread of COVID-19 in the district.

As part of these measures medical camps have been set up at all the 100 wards in the five zones of the Corporation and tests are being carried out.

On those lines, at 10 AM on July 9, 2020 medical camps will be conducted by the various primary health centers in all the zones of the Corporation.

PHC's in the North zone will conduct camps at Peelamedu, Avarampalayam road, Vilankurichi Pudhu Colony, Neelikonampalayam, MVK street, Thatchan Thottam, Ganapathy Maanagar, VOC Nagar, Ganapathy Kamarajapuram and Thudiyalur TNP Nagar.

South Zone PHC's will conduct camps at Telungupalayam Karpagam Garden, Selvapuram Thirunagar, Kuniyamuthur Ayyappan Temple street, Podanur Kurichi Pirivu and Thondamuthur Bhai nagar.

PHC's in the West Zone will conduct camps at Ram Kurbai Ammal (RK Bai) at DB Road, R.S. Puram, Meenatchi Home (MM Home) Rajnagar, KK Pudur Kalamandram, KavundampalyamDevanga Nagar, Seeranaickenpalayam Gokulam Colony, Kalveerampalayam, Maruthapuram and Vadavalli Periya Thotta Colony.

The East Zone PHC's will conduct camps at Singanallur Krishnamma Naidu street, Nanjunadapuram Periyar Nagar, Sowripalayam Housing Unit, Uppilipalayam TN Housing Board Colony and Ramanathapuram Kamarajar road.

The Central Zone PHC's will conduct camps at Seethalakshmi (SLM) Anupparpalayam, Pattu Nool Edayar Street, Jail Road (JRM) VG Rao Nagar, Ganapathy, Rathinapuri Chokkan Thottam, Rajastreet Al Ameen Colony, CTM Home Dhanalakshmi Nagar, Walabhai Vandheeravan (VVM Home) and CMC Colony.

The time at which the medical camp functions are being announced over public announcement systems. People with cough, cold and fever can get themselves tested at the camp.

The news about these medical camps is being relayed through PA systems to the residents of the respective areas. People with cough and cold, senior citizens above the age of 55 years, and those with heart, lung and kidney ailments and diabetes will be tested with pulse oximeters and thermal scanners.

Those people with symptoms can take part in the medical camp and benefit informed the Corporation Commissioner J. Shravan Kumar.

The public have been requested to participate in the camps without fail and protect themselves from the spread of COVID.
